Default Verify fit of BIANCHI UM-84R for S&W M-21(-4) 4" .44 SPL.

Hello Guys, I'd like to pick up a new rig for my recently obtained S&W Model 21(-4) 4" .44 SPL. For it's intended purpose, I'm kind of partial to either the M-1930 "Austin", or "Tom Three Persons" rigs, both from El Paso Saddlery, although many other mfgr's also produce either one or both of these models. I'm sure I will end up with one of these rigs sooner or later, but for the moment, I'd prefer to grab an "all around" type holster, which I can use for many assorted purposes. The rig that comes to mind is the BIANCHI Model UM-84R, which should provide a safe & protected enviorment for my new .44 SPL. What I'd like to verify prior to purchasing one is; WILL THE UM-84R FIT THE 4" S&W M-21(-4) WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS ? I've checked my older Bianchi catalogs, & they do list the 4" N Frame M-25, 27, 28 & 29 as fitting. BUT, when checking some more recent Bianchi catalogs, they do not list ANY N Frame as fitting. They do list all the assorted K & L Frames, along with the Colt Python, King Cobra, etc. To my mind, a 4" bbl'd fixed sight N Frame with the older style "skinny bbl" should fit just fine, BUT, I figured it's always best to ask around a bit before putting out the cash. If anyone could assist me in this issue, I'll be very much appreciative. THANK YOU

Interested in this also - plus I've heard they fit the Governor very well, so it'd be a win both ways if so. Standing by for the results.....

I just tried it. The top flap is a little snug, but it fits.

Hi samwood, THANK YOU very much for that little test. Just to clarify things, which gun did you fit, the 4" bbl M-21(-4) or a Governor ?

The 21-4 fit was a little snug, but works fine in the holster.

THANK YOU samwood, that's what I wanted to hear !! I've held off buying one until I could be sure my 21-4 would fit OK. Hopefully, due to the material used in the construction of these holsters, the gun hopefully will take a "form fit" inside, once it's had a while to work itself into the padding. ( Hopefully ) Take care, & THANKS again.
