Default Anyone ever dealt with ETW HOLSTERS in North Carolina ?

Hi Guys, Has anyone here ever dealt with ETW HOLSTERS in North Carolina ? ( etwholsters.com ) Here's a link to the IWB rig I just purchased for my M-640 / 3". From what I can see, it appears to be a well made quality rig. Initially, I was just going to shell out the $120 (+/-) for an IWB set up from Bell, Charter, Oak, which are beautiful, full quality holsters by the way. Upon going to order, I saw they have a multi-week waiting period, which I just didn't want to deal with. Soooo, I shopped around a bit, & found that very few holster mfgr's produce ANY IWB rig for a 3" barrel J frame. I saw the ETW holster linked below, & thought that perhaps I could still use it, although my longer bbl would protrude somewhat through the bottom. When I contacted the seller for his opinion, he offered to have a 3" bbl version made for me, with just a 1 week wait !! Well, that's service in my book, all for $54.00, including shipping. ( He has black or brown available ) I can't say how it will function yet, but from what I see, it looks like it will be a very functional IWB holster. I'll keep the Forum posted when I receive it.

I had a IWB made by Simply Rugged For a M60 3" Pro Series that is quite nice, and simple for $60 delivered.

I can't wait for it to be finished & shipped out to me. From what I can discern, it apears to be a really well though out & quality IWB rig. I did a good bit of shopping around before deciding on the EWS. If you've looked into IWB rigs before, you know that there's a very large assortment out there, with the prices ranging from $10 - $150 ! My 3 primary factors were, 1) Made for a 3" bbl S&W J Frame 2) Have an off-set belt clip, by design. There were lots with the belt snap / loop, but I wanted a belt clip, just in case I happened to without a belt. 3) Be available at a decent price. It didn't have to be cheap, just a fair price, which I feel that it was. ( $54 ppd. ) The ETW fit all my needs, & appeared to be a quality made piece of kit. When it arrives, I'll let everyone know how I feel about it. Stay tuned,

Best, dpast32

ETW / IWB - HOLSTER STATUS UPDATE:

The seller / mfgr called me today to advise that it was ready, & was being mailed out to me tomorow. He said about a week for my special order, & he was right ! I should have it in a few days, & will post my report here. Until then,

Hello All, Rcv'd my new ETW IWB holster today, & am pleased to report my complete satisfaction. The quality, design, price, & service were all top notch. I had them make a holster for my particular model of M-640, rather than just go with their standard model which was cut for a 2" bbl. Even though mine was a somewhat special order, it was ready for shipment in just 1 week. I can't report on it's functionality yet, as I have'nt had time to wear it yet. I'll try to give it a good work out soon, & will reort my findings back here on the Forum.

Best, dpast32

Good report, it's really hard to find holsters for some guns! With the economy, some folks start up a business because they can't find a decent paying job with benefits. I would look for this fellow to start charging more in the future as you seem to have landed a very good deal.

I had picked up a 2 slot pancake holster this summer from ETW, made for my Redhawk Alaskan. I was pleased with the price, the quality of leather, and it's held up great the past few months.

I ordered one OWB for Colt Defender, granted the Defender is top heavy, but with in a few days the gun was not tight to the body sticking out, too soft of a leather he uses, the IWB holster should not have that problem though.
