I received a package today, with old grips for my new revolver, and from the same store a non tapped into the frame lanyard rings. The grips were a total disaster (k frame targets, not N frame as billed, and re sanded by someone with the woodworking skill of a drunken monkey) but I did put the lanyard rings
on my police trade in 10-8, with factory wooden service grips. The metal is a bit thin, and with constant abuse, I could see them failing, but they did slip between the frame and the stocks supprisingly snug.
I was simply wondering if anyone else has any experience with this type of product. Does the tiny gap it causes between the stock and the frame cause any long term harm? I want to keep the pistol pure stock, and if these are going to damage my original service grips, it would be nice to know. Otherwise, I've drop tested my pistol a few times from a leather lanyard, and so far they show promise.
