New holster for my money cartridge belt
I finally got around to making a holster for my money belt. I'll make a matching right hand holster for the mate to that Colt later. The holster is roughly based on one pictured in the great book "Colts: From Texas and The Old West". That one's made by "W.H. Clay, Brownsville, Texas". I like the "throat recurve" (got that from Packing Iron) at the cylinder and trigger guard so used that. It reminds me of the one on the Johnny Ringo rig from Tombstone. My back skirt was intentionally thinner and the border stamp is just one I came up with but no doubt an influence from somewhere.

Is there any interaction between the holster and the cartridges? It seems that one or the other would cause interference.
Really nice looking rig though. I like belts and holsters simple but you've managed to combine simplicity and adornment to perfection.
How's that for a glowing statement?

Thanks. I leave three empty cartridge loops right behind the holster and that space cradles the holster there where the cylinder is. When there's shells in those loops there is enough interference to make it feel too bulky. It might not bother others, though. That "cradle limites holster shifting on the belt, too.
