Recommended Holsters M&P 45
I just recently purchased the S&W M&P .45 (4" barrel). Looking to start concealing it and was wondering what everyone's favorite holsters are. I've been looking at the Foxx IWB Hybrid and the Galco Kingtuck IWB but am open to all suggestions, thanks.

holster
Many answers to your question.... sort of like asking what kind of shoes should I wear....depends on what you are wanting the product to do. I do not favor hybrids, many like them however...
my suggestion is to invest in the highest quality holster you can afford in the style you prefer ...for many that is IWB....many of us much prefer leather...also invest in a very sturdy belt to carry it with...if you can fold it in half vertically it is NOT sturdy enough.
Do a search on holster recommendations and you will have a mountain of information to sort through. There are several very high quality makers on this forum....check their websites as they have a great deal of VERY helpful information.

I have the foxx iwb hybrid holster for my 4" 45. I love it. Broke the kydex once. They had me ship the holster to them and fixed it for free. I have the double magazine iwb hybrid holster coming on Monday.

My M&P 45c in Desantis Intruder IWB holster:
My handle is shorter but our slides are the same length. This rig is super comfortable and less than $50...

Your M&P-45 is not an extremely large handgun but it is rather thick and bulky. The polymer frame affects weight distribution, as does the loaded magazine in the grip-frame.
To deal with the bulk I suggest a good pancake-style holster. The smooth outer shell will help to minimize and disguise the overall profile of the pistol and conceal the bulge created by the thickness of the slide. Having two belt attachment points fore-and-aft of the pistol will spread the weight out over a larger area of the belt, providing better support and comfort.
Ride height should take the weight distribution into account, including ammo load in the magazine. The balance point should be no higher than the upper belt-line, otherwise the holstered handgun may tend to tip out away from the body compromising both concealment and security.
A last point applies to all holsters, not just the M&P-45, and that is a sturdy belt capable of supporting the weight and anchoring the holstered handgun in place securely. No holster can perform to optimum without the solid foundation of a good belt. Narrow belts and those made of very flexible materials will never provide the comfort of a solidly made gun belt properly fitted to the holster's belt loops or slots.

I carry mine in a Blackhawk IWB size 3. It's a suede-like outer shell with a nylon liner. It's light and thin, protects skin from gun and inexpensive. Quick to put on and take off. It retains the gun well even when running and is comfortable. Only downside is it takes two hands to reholster
