First class job there, Rob. A nice even finish on rough-out leather can be a real challenge.

Much appreciated, Ray. The mock up had a much nicer finish than this one, with a time crunch I just had to be happy with it.

That is a really nice rig! Is the stitching by hand or machine?

All very nice.
On the rough side finish, did you smooth it down with something? And if so what?

I like this one a lot, especially the open toe design. Your usual excellent work.

Much appreciated! This is all machine stitched. Double stitching a belt by hand is at the bottom of things I'd like to do

This portion of the hide had a tight nap due to splitting, when I applied final finish I lightly rubbed the rough out with a tool handle to pack it and then went back with a light wire bristle to raise it just a tad. On this mock up I didn't have to touch it but it was on a thicker/junky part of the hide I couldn't make use of for a production piece.

Thank you sir! Can't wait to find time to translate it to a revolver.
