Default D&D Gunleather - Dave Workman

I'll presume that most of you know that Dave Workman invented (as far as I know, anyway) the holster that holster maker Mitch Rosen calls "The Workman", El Paso Saddlery's similar style is called "Ultra Cover", and made by others in similar designs - which is the design wherein you can wear a gun IWB but the holster has a flap design so you can tuck your shirt inside of the flap and all that is visible is the hook on your belt, an otherwise non-threatening looking piece of leather, etc.

Well, I mention that because a friend of mine swears by D&D's holsters and recently I stumbled upon Mr. Workman himself - here, on this Forum, responding to something other than a leather thread. I sent him a PM because I was in the market for a new holster for my recently acquired 4" M686+ - which you can see here:

Folks, I thought the holster was black when I opened the box - but it's a deep, dark, rich brown. The quality is stunning, the craftsmanship, the perfection, the detail. I would be remiss if I didn't brag about it here. Folks are always looking for gun leather and with Lobo retiring we might need someone new - well, we have someone new!

You are very generous with your praise, and I am gratefully humbled. I hand-rubbed the oil into it rather than dropping it into a bucket full of oil. Glad you like it. Wear it in good health and for cryin out loud never, NEVER, drop it at a crime scene!

Hope I can live up to the hype.

I just knocked together the rig in this photo for my old pal Raj Singh at Eagle Grips.
Again, thanks for your kind words. Hope your rig is seeing lots of use.

Nice rig!

Funny thing - I just dropped your name into at least two, if not three, threads where guys were looking for new leather.

My rig sees as much use as possible - if I open carried it would see a lot more!!!!

I might need another rig for a different gun - when I get the gun I'll see if I have a holster that works or not. If not, you're elected!
