Using Galco Speedloader Pouches For Moonclips. Do Pouches For Moonclips Exist?
I have been using Galco Speedloader Pouches for moonclips. It is a workable but not ideal solution. Any better alternatives out there? Open magnetic posts are for competition not carry.
Do pouches for moonclips exist?

I faced the same problem.
I use the HKS, which is fully closed at the bottom, not the Galco, although from the looks of it, my mod should work for you too.
My modification is that I took small-bubble bubblewrap, cut several circular pieces to fit the bottom of the holder. Built-up layers until the flap pushes down on the moonclip when snapped closed (stops ammo rattle). Removed the bubble wrap and taped it into a puck using packing tape.
This has the dual effect of quieting the ammo and raising it as high as possible to grab when needed.
The same carrier does double duty for me using HKS speedloaders, so when I need to switch, I just take my bubble-pucks out.

I use Rob Leahy's (Simply Rugged). They carry the moon clip vertical and have a finger cut-out in the front to aid in getting the clip out. See my photo another post. (#25 in 1896-1961, Show-N-Tell...The N frames you shoot)

You can also use close-cell OR open-cell foam to do the same thing. You can often find this in electronics boxes and other shipping boxes if you keep your eyes out for it.
I am currently using vinyl Velcro closure speedloader belt holders, but sure like the looks of the leather versions much better. AND since OC is now legal in Texas, I am not so concerned about carrying my speedloaders deep in a pocket. I will still CC, but am now more willing to "belt" my speedloaders in the future.

The older Safariland speedloader holders meant for .38 spec. HKS speedloaders that put 3 rounds on each side of the belt work great for .45 ACP in full moon clips. You can also get some 2 sided Velcro that sticks to itself and do the same thing. Mark

Just cut some foam rubber to the correct thickness and diameter. Works like charm. Really easy to pop in and out

If you're using moonclips for the .45 ACP, the HKS large-size speedloader pouches will allow you to carry two moonclipped reloads in each pouch, the bottom one bullets down, the top one bullets up. If you're fat-fingered, they might be harder to get out than they were for my skinny fingers. Sadly, my Model 25-2 is long gone, and none of my .38/.357s are cut for moonclips.

Another HKS user, spacer to raise em up. Just stick my index finger in the center "hole" for quick removal.

They were never intended for HKS speed loaders. They were made with their own Safariland Com1 and Com2 speed loaders in mind. The pouches made for HKS don't allow the 3 rds on each side of the belt but rather are full round with a flap over the loader.
