S&W holster made for Colt
I purchased a colt trooper that came with a S&W holster. Did a quick search on the Forum and verified that the model stamped on the Holster 22 44 is the model number for Colt Trooper. That's cool who would have known S&W made product to complement it's rival.
The Holster is in excellent shape and the workmanship was great.

That Smith entered the holster market in the late 60s by buying out Wolfram's Blazer company is well known. And construction of this example puts it towards the early 80s when they left the market and new owners turned it into Gould & Goodrich is also well known.
Fun fact: when Smith decided to give holsters another go, by having Bianchi private label for them, John's daughter Hope (John had been fired) showed up for the SHOT show with Smith catalogues that had pics of holsters with Smiths -- and Colts.
According to someone who was there, the Smith people blew their stacks over the Colts. And the line was consigned to oblivion.

Here's a pair of Wolfram made holsters, pretty much identical until you turn them over- both fit a Woodsman .22 pistol.

It went both ways, too. Not only were there S&W brand holsters for Colts but also Colt holsters for S&Ws.
