LOL when I first saw the picture I thought that was a bayonet on that AR.

Use to be a bayonet with a tapered handle that could be stuck in the muzzle of a musket.....................17th century (1600s) "plug" bayonet

Nice find, I too love the junk bins. I've done it for years. I have a ruger holster like yours that I found in a bin of r $5.00. I bought Braur leather 1911 holster at the last gun show. The guy wanted $25.00, I said used and un-oiled. He said $20. I said look me in the eyes, do you know where I buy my holsters and that I normally pay $5. He looked and said, you get them the same place I do, $10 and it's yours. I said fair enough. Brought it home.

The junk box training and expectations of $5.00 items is a powerful purchasing tool.

I love finding like new tooled slings for $5. While lurking close by are new plain ones for twenty or more.

Well, all I can say is the seller is a dunce. That's about $350 worth of holsters, not to mention the slings and straps. Pretty good lick Paul.

Yes, this is what I'm talking about. Nice slings with swivels for 5 bucks. I've bought slings I did not want because they have a 10 dollar pair of screw lock swivels on them. Leather slings are 30 bucks or better now.

I think most LGS' get them on a gun in trade and just want them gone to sell a new one.

Years ago an LGS I frequented did the same with scopes that came in on trade, He'd take them off and put them in a box 10-20 bucks, said if he sold them he'd get stuck if they were bad. I bought 8 or 10 Leupolds before he wised up to their lifetime warranty and started putting them in the case for about 2/3rds the price of a new one.

You really think $50 for all of it was ok? Last time I checked that Diamond D Custom was $160 plus shipping. And I think the ammo carrier is additional. I would love to find a deal like that for an N Frame.
