Default SIDE GUARD IWB HOLSTERS

Erik Strigley Owner/Maker does business in Minnesota as Side
Guard Holsters. The "Quick Clip" model has a reinforced mouth
for easy re-holstering. Notice that all the belt clips are slightly
offset to the downhill side of the cylinder to minimize the width
of the holster over the cylinder.

The "Quick Clip" is shown below left with Taurus Model 85.

The "Minimal Clips" are economical options. Shown 2nd from
left with Ruger LCR, 3rd from left with Ruger SP101, and at far
right with Colt's Agent.

If you use a clip-on IWB (inside waist band) holster it is a good
idea to be certain the clip is secure at the bottom of your belt
and your belt is fairly tight. Practice at least 100 presentations.
You don't want your holster to come out wrapped around your
gun when you draw.

Your caution about making sure the clip is secured at the bottom of the belt is essential to avoid drawing and having a handful of gun and holster! 😲
I use another manufacturer, FOXX, similar to your pictured Sideguard. FOXX chosen because of delivery time. On a revolver IWB holster, I have seen an offset clip used to minimize bulk over the cylinder, which seems to me to be an asset in IWB.

I love mine. Been using it for almost 5 years now. It's never come off my belt unless I intentionally remove it. It still passes my shake test. It's secure in the holster, yet draws easily. A great, simple, IWB holster.
