Yippie Eye Ky Aye!
Thought I'd show off a custom rig I ordered for my SAA 5 1/2" .44 Special.
The workmanship is simply the best I've ever seen in every way!
It was made by Karla Van Horne of Purdy Gear in Jasper, GA.

That looks flawless. Very purdy gear you got there. Needs an engraved SAA in it... just giving you an excuse. Enjoy!

Just threw all my ol' Heisers in the trash.... (No I didn't)
That lady's stuff has instant collector's item written all over it.

That is a beauty. I love the color, it reminds me of chocolate.

That has to be the most stunning rig I've seen. And the grips are gorgeous as well! Color me jealous!

Thanks guys. Needless to say, I'm thrilled. Karla said she might start working on it in April so I was doubly surprised when the package arrived this morning.
I've got some grab holsters, and several Don Hume belts but these take the cake!
I've got an original Colt barrel to install then I need to file-up and polish the whole gun as prep for bluing and fresh case colors.
Engraving just might be in order??

A buddy of mine has some of Karla's "Art Work". His wife told me "Don't even think about trying to trade him out of it. It wouldn't be healthy." Apparently his wife found out what he paid for the rig.

Karla of Purdy Gear does make some pretty stuff!! She is a definite "craftswoman"!
BTW, in your first picture (awesome photo, as usual), Purdy has an extra "e".

She's several notches above "craftswoman". That it the work of a fine artist if I ever saw it.

I noticed the extra E in Purdey, I just sold one.... so I've recently sold a Purdey and bought a Purdy.
Lucky guy I'd say.
Some of my other leather.

With that rig and those grips, it would almost be a crime NOT to engrave. Then of course, you will have to start having BBQs...

Purty as a speckled pup. I have been tooling leather for a very long time and I can't do that.
