I recently purchased a 3 in. Mod. 36 that I would like to carry occasionally. I have discovered that holsters for a 3in. 36 are rare in comparison to 2in. I'm thinking ITW and I would also like a pocket holster. I know that a revolver with a hammer is not the best choice for pocket carry and I may not but would like to have the option. Any recommendation as to what and where to get it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ages ago, when I purchased my S&W model 36-6 (3" target sighted Chief's Special), I was looking for holsters. IIRC, somewhere between 600 and 900 of the 36-6s were manufactured, so holsters were scarce to begin with. I know I have 2, possibly 3 for this Smith.

For an IWB holster, I have a Bianchi IWB model that is more a pocket than a conventional holster, with a spring steel belt clip. I can't locate a model number for you. I also have a S&W branded camo nylon OWB holster that is a model 24-34. In the back of my mind, I vaguely remember purchasing a brown Gould and Goodrich thumb break OWB holster, but I can't put my finger on it for a model number.
