Exotic skin holster ID Please!
I just picked this up for the princely sum of $3 in a deal on Saturday.
I know it wasn't made for it. But, it's a good fit for my FN HiPower:
Is it snakeskin? Python maybe? Any guesses??

For $3 and it fits your gun, you didn't go wrong! It could definitely be python, but for some reason it reminds me of rattlesnake skin as well with the ridges on the scales..

The outside looks like some kind of snake skin, the inside is elephant hide (which was very popular back when my father was running his saddle shop).

I think the inside leather is just cow hide. Full grain. Does not look like Elephant to me. But I certainly could be wrong.

I forgot to mention that you should take the little lady out to dinner and open carry with the holster. Pick a real classy joint for dinner. It is a sexy piece of leather.

I don't think so, the grain of the leather is wrong for cow hide. It might be textured cow hide.
