Info for Appendix Carriers only......
Been carrying appendix for over 5 years now.
Spent the first 3 years looking for a comfortable appendix rig.
Tried kydex clam shells and pancakes...all to uncomfortable.
Tried leather single hook and they were just two unstable and moved around all the time.
Two years ago, found the solution for me at least...
Comfort and control all rolled into one appendix rig.....
The Foxx Holster Small of the Back model with comfort shield backing for left hand draw to be used for right hand draw appendix. (think about that for a sec and it will come to you).....
Small of the back model because it has hardly any cant which I like for appendix carry.
Just got my new one for the Shield 45. Asked Ray to do a special appendix carry cut for me and he did an execellent job.
If you are having trouble finding a good quality, comfortable holster that will not move around on you during the day while being active you may want to consider something of this nature.

I too appendix carry. Being older and larger now, the gut hides the butt of the gun quite well! I use Milt Sparks versamax ii almost exclusively, but would be willing to try a different design if more comfortable.

I never found appendix comfortable. Didn't matter my weight or the holsters used. I'm uncomfortable having things up front. .... appendix carry, pocket carry, wallet in the front pocket, top much change in the front pocket....

I can see how that would be comfortable and stable with the 2 belt loops
Would probably work fine with my light Shield 45. Not sure if with a heavy handgun how it would spread the weight out. Looks good....not sure I could afford the price if it did not work out......lol

I carry my M&P 340 in a Milt Sparks SS2. I love it.

Horses for courses.
I'm actually quite fond of the Galco Tuck-N-Go when I'm in uniform, even though it barely works with my 1.5" belt and requires a lot of finagling to get "just right." The pluses are that it's very comfortable (for me), discreet (minimal clip material showing), and retains the firearm reasonably well. It's not perfect (heck, it's kind of cheap if you want to know the truth), but it fills my need for deeper concealment in my work clothes.
When I'm in street clothes, I don't like the Tuck-N-Go as much and am seriously considering a N82 Tactical "Professional" for the added protection against sweat in shorts and T-shirt weather.

An IWB appendix-carry holster NOT to buy for your M&P Shield or any other concealable handgun: High Noon's "Hidden Ally."
The J-spring clip for use in attaching the holster to the user's belt is ridiculously strong. (The fella I spoke to at High Noon, after I experienced this serious problem, conceded that point.) You must thread your gunbelt through the clip, thereby negating the easy on/off reason for buying a clip-attached IWB holster.
And, High Noon's policy is NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. (They will exchange, but that's of no value if the Hidden Ally is their only holster that interests you.)

Tried appendix carry but just didn't feel comfortable enough. I don't recall what holsters I've tried but there may be one someday. When looking/checking a new and different design/style/brand, etc. it ain't cheap so I'm limited somewhat. I wish I could as I think it's a good position for concealment and accessibility.

Holsters are critical when it comes to appendix carry for sure!
If not comfortable or stable you will not carry in that manner.
A holster that can support and spread the weight of the weapon is imperative to a pleasant appendix carry mode. Bigger heavier guns are more of a problem than compacts and sub compacts. For me it's the only way to carry year round especially cold weather under a sweater or vest.
