Well, I tried everything except the hydrogen peroxide, water, and dish soap formula.
Stinky smoke odor removal
None of it worked really well although AtmosKlear did a reasonable job. So, somewhere in late May or early June I hung the holster on a hangar under the fiberglass roof of my patio - not in direct sunlight but not far off from it, either. Almost 5 months it hung there, in the heat of a Texas summer, until I brought it in over the past weekend.
Mostly, it smells like leather again - there is a lingering aroma of smoke. Very faint - I'll try that H2O2, water, and dish soap trick sometime to really finish it but at least now, when I use it, I can't smell it and my clothes don't stink afterwards.
Thanks, y'all!!!
