Default Finally Got My New Holster!

So I looked for some time to find a nice holster exactly how I wanted. Finally I stumbled upon Exodus Gunleather and began talking with them about a holster for my S&W Model 36. So after about 3 months of (im)patient waiting, I received it about a week or so ago. All I can say is WOW! It is high grain horse-hide with real alligator trim on the belt loop and along the edge of the holster. The craftsmanship is supreme and it looks and feels incredible. I cannot express my satisfaction enough. Now, it was pretty pricey at $210 shipped ($10 for shipping), but Alligator is expensive. It was an additional $50 on top of high grain horse hide, IIRC. A lot of people may think the gator trim is silly being an IWB, but it really is a show stopper in person.

Now I need to find a nice brown leather gun belt that allows me to swap buckles. Any recommendations??

Very nice holster you have there.
Might want a shiny new Tyler T grip to go with the new holster.
Tyler Manufacturing and Distribution Company, Inc

Have you asked Exodus Gunleather if they could make the belt for you?

Enjoy

Thank you! They do make belts and it would be easy to match, but since it's just the gentleman and his wife doing the work, they're very backlogged. From order to receiving it was 3 months wait on a holster, so at a minimum I'd need something for the time being.

I'm still torn on the grip. I've had the gun for some time now and haven't removed it, but I think next range outing I will pop it off and see how I like it stock. If I end up with a grip, those brass ones you linked to look awful nice.

Yes, the gold colored bronze T grips would look great on your gun with that holster.

Very nice holster and M36. Here is my suggestion for a belt:
Google James Culver Belts. Click on dress belts. He makes a beautiful
embossed hornback alligator belt in dark brown which would look good
with that holster. You can get it in 1.5". It is not a double thick gun
belt, but I have a black one and a light brown and they are stiff enough
especially for a small snub revolver like your M36. I carry my SP101
in a holster on these belts with no problem and the SP101 is quite a
little bit heavier than the model 36.
