Found old holster for my Triple Lock. Help ID?
This unmarked holster recently followed me home from an Ebay auction. Seller did not know what it fit, but from the measurements it looked big. Laced and Floral carve with a big (originally) nickel plated buckel. Fits my 44 New Century TL like it was made for it. I don't think it would accept taret sights. Nice workmanship. Anybody have any ideas who made this? Thanks.

I've run across several holsters stamped "TRU-FIT" & your holster reminds me of them although I can't pinpoint why. Nice looking no matter who made it and it fits. Thanks for posting it, Randy.

I'm going to say that's not a fit. The K frame would go all the way in to cover the guard as is traditional. Don't reckon half in, half out at the guard is typical of any maker, and for good reason. Also expect that the barrel of yours isn't running full length to the holster muzzle. Lawrence is the only company that I'm aware of that used that buckle on the front of holsters, yet we would always expect their holsters to be marked.

I think maybe it is the cut of the holster. In the photo with the TL the rear edge of the top strap is almost perfectly flust with the top of the leather. The muzzle end is about a quarter inch inside the open toe of the holster. The fit of the N frame into the leather is snug enough for good retention. but not really tight. I don't have a 6" K to try, though.

I think Red's got it pegged but if you like the fit I would not hesitate to use it. Nice holster. +1 on the Lawrence .
