Tim Holt Holsters
Early morning movie viewing old western movies
Tim Holt starring in "Overland Telegraph" double holsters he wore appears that only the barrels of the matching Colt SAs were actually inside the holsters. The rest of the revolvers were exposed ?

A still from a different film but Holt wearing the same rig:
Examining photos, it appears he wears this same setup, with the gun's cylinder and frame exposed, in most of the westerns he starred in. The "minimalist" or speed-type holster is likely a Hollywood embellishment, the rig probably a personally-owned custom job produced by one of the earlier Hollywood gunleather makers- Arvo Ojala, Andy Anderson, Alfonso Pineda, etc.

Agree with db.
Speaking of Tim Holt - he was in a bunch of B Oaters.
But he was in one well known Feature film with big name actors.
It was - You don't need no stinking clues!

I can think of "two" films which could meet that criteria.

He was in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre with Humphrey Bogart and Walter Houston. John Houston, who directed it, kept popping up also as the guy Bogart keeps putting the bite on for some eating money.

Tim Holt served as a bombardier in the AAF in WWII and received the purple heart shortly before the end of the war.
