Model 15-6 IWB Black Leather 6 o'clock
I have a Smith & Wesson Model 15-6 with the 4 inch bbl (which I think was the only one they made that year but I'm not sure). I would really like to get a high-quality black-leather IWB holster to wear in the 6 o'clock position. Any recommendations?

Recommendation: Don't. If you fall backwards, you'll land on your gun with the ground on one side and your pelvis and L3-L5 vertebrae on the other. At best it will hurt like the blazes; at worst, you're looking at paralysis below the waist. I won't even wear an S*O*B (OWB) holster. I wear a bunch of...equipment...on my duty belt, but there are 4 inches at the small of my back where no equipment will ever ride.
Options: 1) Carry crossdraw where either hand can get at your sidearm. 2) Carry behind the hip at 4-5 o'clock or 7-8 o'clock where either hand can get at it. 3) Carry 2 guns, one for left and one for right hand. This assumes you want to access guns with either hand.

That's a damn good point. I already have a herniated disc and damaged lumbar. That might do me in. I did buy a custom made IWB for my GLOCK G21 but with 10% angle (I forget the terminology, but you know what I mean) I can follow your advice and move it to five or even four o'clock with no problem and I definitely will!

A couple of other points. 1) If you're carrying concealed in that position it's nearly impossible to tell if your cover garment has ridden up, exposing the gun. 2) If someone with nefarious intent saw your gun there, at best it would be extremely difficult to defend against a gun grab.

I really have acted impulsively, I think. It's a really incredibly well-crafted piece of work but seems to be a bad idea in practice. I am considering a few modifications to attach it to the steering column of my car in a removable way so when I leave the car unattended I can secure the firearm in the fingerprint-safe I already have mounted under the passenger seat. I really appreciate the words of wisdom to someone new to the world of concealed carry.

Milt sparks versa max 2 is a great IWB holster, high quality. Wait times to have one made to your specs can take a while but they are worth it.

Hollyweid strikes again it would seem. They wear their guns *** in quite a few movies........ I would not do it at all. Too many things to go wrong and virtually impossible to defend a grab.
