I purchased the holster shown below in an auction 10 days or so ago. I didn't (and don't) really have a major use for it, but thought that it being basically unused might be something interesting.

I put a S&W Model of 1917 in it and it fit perfectly. I don't believe a gun had ever been put in this. It has a couple of tiny handling marks, but is basically in new condition. I was curious if anyone can estimate the age of this. It is reminiscent of a RCMP holster from the 1940s I used to have. It is stamped with the S&W logo on the back. It has the rings to have a Sam Browne setup. It does swivel as well.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments you might have.

It looks like a copy of a Webley Holster. Made who knows where, but most are made in India. I have a similar one for the .38 cal size and am quite happy with it. They go about $30.00 +-.
