I just ordered a nice elk stag set of grips for my Colt 1911.
I now, of course, have to get a nice holster for it.
I have a nice 2" Bianchi basket weave belt that I got from Turneriver.
I would like to find a holster for a 1911 that will fit that 2" belt and is predominately basket weave, but also has some BBQ bling to it. It also should have a thumb strap suitable for a 1911.
The belt is basically a natural tan( maybe Turneriver can weigh in with a correction), and I would also like a matching horizontal mag pouch.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Sure. The Bianchi belt in basket would normally be 1-3/4" wide? If it's actually 2" wide, that would make it harder to make a recommend.

Safariland used to use 2" but Bianchi either 1-3/4" or 2-1/4" widths; and the holster styles to suit are quite different for the two widths. Advise :-).

It is a Bianchi B3 and you are correct, it is 2
1/4".

Do like the B3 belt. The wider gunbelt limits your options to what are called 'field holsters'.

Looking 'round a bit it appears that Bianchi is no longer an option for you and in that finish would even be difficult in a used product from them.

Good news! Plenty of copyists out there who can help you with this. I'd see if El Paso Saddlery has a copy of either the #2 holster in that finish (simple, with a strap) or the #111 (crossdraw and some copies also include side draw; thumb snap). Purdy Gear is in the same category, and Galco which, if they have the finish you need/want, would be my first choice of clone maker.

Sam Andrews Leather in FL. He just did all the gear for the re-make of the Magnifisent 7. Bought several from him over the years... ain't cheap, but neither are my 1911s or Hipowers...

I realise we're wandering off topic; but I really feel for Sam, then, because the wife and I saw that within the last month and at no time did I see any holster that made me think, "Wow, gotta have me one of those. It's obviously a Sam Andrews rig, I know just what to do". :-( And I'm a crazed holster-phile.

Which is very unlike the original film in the sense that their Ojala or Anderson rigs were iconic and displayed ostentatiously for the audiences (even today).

By the way, the remake is horribly violent and implausibly so; with the baddies fighting until the very last man for a dollar they could never collect. Not least being the reinvention of the Gatling as having electric minigun-like firepower and clustered accuracy.

El Paso has what I'm looking for in their 1930 Austin holster in russet, basket weave. I think the color will match the belt pretty well, but I need to verify it will fit a 2 1/4" belt.
Their mag pouch states so, but it's not mentioned with the holster.
