Best Blt holster for a 4" 629?
Any suggestions? Used to have a Biachi thumbsnap many moons ago....

Bianchi holsters are made well, but usually too tight, even after breaking in. The thumb snap takes a bit of practice to flip out of the way and even more practice to recluse it. My biggest complaint is the loose fit between the loop and belt. It seems designed for a 2-1/2" duty belt, but without the drop and offset you would want in a duty holster.
I suggest an OWB holster of a pancake design. You have ample retention without a thumb snap, but snaps are available. The holster should be somewhat low on the belt for easy extraction of a 4" barrel, and held tightly to your side for concealment. All you need is a garment long enough for cover.
I have Alessi CQB and Belt Slide holsters for an N-frame. The latter has a little steeper angle for 4:30+ carry and tabs to cover the hammer on both sides. Both are very comfortable and effective. Mine have slots, but snap loops are available.
Just about everybody makes a good pancake holster, but you will have to pay $80 or more for the best quality.

For a custom holster check with Dave Lafleur @ " Cochise Leather Works " in SE Az . Don't call him to talk for 30 , he is a one man shop and doesn't have a lot of time to talk . check out his website .
He has made quite a few holsters for me , all top quality . About a 2 month wait time .

Am quite happy with my Kramer and my Lobo Gunleather for N frame 4"
Randy
PS. Bianchi is also a good choice and I have used several DeSantis Sped Scabbards as well.

Look for an old Safariland model 25 leather holster.
