Default AlienGear Holsters? Any experiance with these.

I was looking at these IWB holsters for two reasons,

They are hybrid with either leather or neoprene on the back side and the gun shells are interchangeable (inexpensive also)

I am not experienced with IWB holsters as they are uncomfortable to wear down here with shorts and t shirts So I wanted to try one of these as they have a good return policy and the shells can be exchanged.

The appear well made and I can try several guns that I never get to carry. I do prefer leather but can not afford to buy several holsters that will not get used.

Concealed Carry Holsters | Concealment Holsters | Alien Gear Holsters

Thanks

Yes! I bought the AlienGear IWB Mod 2 about three years ago, and updated to the newest Mod3. I have found it to be a very comfortable holster and have carried it in temperatures ranging around 100+ degrees up to 12 hours at a time, while driving. Although they don't indicate it can be carried in cross- draw position this is my favorite position, both for driving and regular carrying. It can be carried under a dress shirt comfortably without printing. During cool temperatures I use a light jacket or vest for concealment. The company's customer service is excellent.

I have three Alien Gear holsters. The Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB which carries my M&P 9c and a Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB which carries my M&P 45c. I also have the Alien Gear Cloak Mod OWB holster for the M&P 45c.

All three are great holsters, very comfortable, and reasonably priced. Also Alien Gear customer support is top-notch. I highly recommend them.

I carry in the AG Cloak Tuck. First version 2, then version 3. I love it for hot muggy days when I play golf. The neoprene is comfortable against the skin and impervious to moisture. After 18 holes, I'll be drenched but can just wipe the holster and it's good to go.

My husband traded guns and the shell swap was fast and easy.

Not being experienced with IWB holsters ( I have tied them for a while) you are supposed to wear at about 4 o clock, yes?

For me that is right on back of my hip bone.. I am not a big guy and not a lot of "padding" right there. Are they still fairly comfortable and you get used to them?

Appendix carry feels better but of course you can't sit or drive with them gouging you !

I have a similar CompTac (M Tac) holster got at a junk sale in excellent condition, it it for a double stack HK USP Compact. It's a nice holster but their shells are a bit over $25 each! So I can not get a different one and then return it, Heck their holster is $80+! I want to carry a single stack, thinner gun.

You carry while golfing? Wow! Is that comfortable? I'm getting back into golf this summer so it'll be interesting if I carry or not while golfing. I haven't decided yet.

One of my best friends uses an AG to carry his Glock 19, he swears by it. I wore it for a short time, and it seemed super comfortable right away. I've been considering getting one for my carry.

I have three Cloke Tuck 2 Holsters. The most comfortable I've ever carried, and I've been carrying for 47 years. Even in warm weather they are great. The service is great too.

I pack a M&P 9c in a cloak tuck 2.0 one right at 4 o clock. Most comfortable holster I've ever used. Sitting in my office chair, driving, walking whatever. I'm in Memphis so I know how to sweat and this thing has held up to that great. I highly recommend it.

Bought one for my Ruger LC9S pro, quickly threw it in the corner with all the other great ideas. Feels huge and uncomfortable. Obviously, YMMV 021

I have one original Cloak Tuck and one Cloak Tuck 3. Both are comfortable, especially the 3 with the padding. But I find I'm using them less and using simple single clip kydex ones more. Easier to take off and put on. In my line of work I have to remove my EDC and put in my desk drawer quite often. Easier to do, and also easier to remove in the car if it gets uncomfortable.

Price is right, they work well. I have two with plastic clips but if I had to do it over I'd go metal.

The AG CT holster is VERY comfortable for me.

We carry 100% of the time once we open the front door, unless it's a posted/banned place.

We're not competitive (only one Birdie ever), just some dilapidated old folks out for a little exercise and fresh air. When bears are in the area, we drop a rifle in the bag too.
