MOST WANTED HOLSTER
Is there a holster that you have wanted for a long time
but you just can't seem to find one?
A while back I was intrigued by an old Lawrence ad for
a Special Agent holster. The outside was pigskin. It has
a "dog ear" to protect your clothing from the hammer spur.
It is lined with smooth calf hide. I thought I had to have one.
I looked and looked for 2 or 3 years. Sent flyers to gun
shops. Even talked to Bill Lawrence. (George's great grandson,
who ran the company when the Special Agent was produced.)
Well, my perseverance finally paid off. Here it is with my
snub nosed model 10.

I searched long and hard for a Heiser knife sheath and finally found this one on a table at the Tulsa gun show some years ago. It had a knife in it that was in poor condition, my friend Ordnanceguy provided the Marbles knife shown and the M&P revolver is of the period.
As for holsters, I'm more of an opportunist and the one I really want is the next one.
That's a fine example of a Special Agent holster. Good idea for a thread, Phil.
Regards,
turnerriver

I've been looking for a mythical left-handed Bucheimer semi-shoulder holster Model 1044 - with or without its belt mount system and being any color and any finish.
I use the word "mythical" because I have not seen a left-handed version, nor have I read any information on the Bucheimer's semi-shoulder holster series that confirms this model series was made in a left-handed version.
Nevertheless, I feel like Casper Gutman and will continue to search for my Maltese Falcon.

Nice! I wish a leather bender on this forum would make a reproduction of that holster.

I have wanted a S&W holster for a 4" N frame that has the snap off strap & the safety strap for a long time. I don't know what the model number is, but I know it when I see it!

I have 2 holsters that I've always wanted. The first is a Safety Speed clamshell holster, when I was a kid all the cops in my hometown had one and I always thought they were neat. Second is a Lewis shoulder holster being a fan of Starsky & Hutch I liked the combo of the 6" python and that holster.
