IWB Holster for 3" 686 plus Needed
I picked up a 3" 686 plus last week. Having a heck of a time trying to find an iwb Holster made for the 3" barrel, as well as for the 7 shot cylinder. Anyone care to share where they got theirs? I've seen them for 4" guns and 2.5", but I'd prefer one for exactly what I have. Thanks in advance!

I have a 686 2.5". I have an iwb made by Craft Holsters. It's very comfortable and adjustable so I can carry my N frames snubs also. The only modification I made was having a shoemaker sew a sweat shield on it. I wear it regularly in the cooler weather. I don't remember the price, but it wasn't a lot for a leather holster.

Lobo Gunleather. I wear it every day, very comfortable. I got the inner and outer hammer shields, so it doesn't dig into my side or rip up my clothes. I think it was in the $70s, they are fairly quick on their turnaround and are super people to do business with.

How did I forget them? Thanks much. If you get the chance to share a photo of your holster, I'd appreciate it please.

Galco Summer Comfort. I have one for my 2-1/2" 686, their Website also list one for a 3" model. Comfortable, secure and easy to put on and take off. The 7-shot cylinder on the 686 is the same diameter as the 6 shot, so that will make no difference.

I searched for a 3" holster for a Model 60-3 and also found it difficult to find what I needed.
Then I found The Holster Store and ordered a leather IWB holster.
I received it today and am highly satisfied with its construction, appearance and fit for my revolver.
Made in USA.
Hope this helps.

That's interesting. When I checked their website yesterday prior to posting this, I only found the 2.5" and 4". I'll check again just to make sure I haven't completely lost my Google fu skills. Thanks for the ideas so far, it's greatly appreciated. Does anyone have any photos to share?

I definitely did not scroll far enough! Looks like I'll be placing an order soon. Just wish they came in brown to match my belts.

The Holster Store offers brown and black. The brown is what I ordered.
It is a medium dark brown.
They offer IWB & OWB as well.

TT Gunleather builds great 3" IWB holsters.
Top center is for 3" K frame IWB. The right is a 3" K frame OWB. He can make L frame too. Excellent construction. Very comfortable.

Those are beautiful, thank you! I think the top one is what I'm after. Looks like I'll be busy this week. I appreciate everyone's feedback, it's been a big help and a reminder to slow my roll when scrolling through websites.

That is a great looking Holster too! I got in touch with TT Gunleather yesterday evening, so I'll be placing my order tomorrow. I sincerely thank everyone for their help, and those who take the time to post photos, it's all greatly appreciated.

I have 7-8 holsters from Tim. They are excellent. Use them almost exclusively. Reasonably fast turn around for a custom holsters. Sometimes it takes a couple months. I've had them show up in 5 weeks. Worth the wait.
