Does Kydex Attract More Lint & Dust?
Recently started using an all kydex IWB holster for my carry J frame revolver. It's been nearly 3 weeks and have been noticing that on the inside it has been picking up everything (dirt, lint, dust). I normally carry in leather holsters and never had this problem before. I notice even after a day or two of carrying that there is a lot more lint/dust on the frame when I unholster and I'm now spending more time cleaning. I haven't done anything different or gone anywhere different than I did before. Sort of worries me because I don't want any of those particles working their way inside. Is this much dust typically normal with kydex?

Haha, thanks federali. Just fixed my Kydex (kydek) typo's. No wonder my searches weren't coming up with anything. As you can tell I am sort of new to it. Been using leather holsters for as long as I can remember.

Like the difference between a carpet and ceramic tile, kydex shows every spec of dust, while the same amount inside a leather holster is invisible.
Wiping a kydex holster with a used dryer sheet helps reduce static charge.

Funny, now that you mention it, I do recall more fuzz accumulating in a previous Kydex holster than leather, but maybe it's because it's black and lint is more visible.
Edit: Typing while OKDC05 was posting.
