Default Question regarding El Paso Threepersons holster

Hello all,

I'm considering ordering some Threepersons holsters for some of my revolvers. I recently purchased a lined, western style holster from El Paso Saddlery for an Uberti Colt replica. The pigskin lining clings to the gun so much that it makes for a very difficult draw. I've noticed that many of you have El Paso Saddlery Threepersons holsters that come standard with a pigskin lining and am curious about your opinions of the holster.

I own several Threeperson holsters from El Paso and enjoy all of them. No problems in drawing from them and reholstering my guns.

Disregarding the question about the maker, and focusing on the lining: not being able to think of pigskin as being so grippy that drawing is difficult, I wonder: has a finish been applied to the lining after assembly? Professionally, I recommend that you call EPS and discuss that particular issue before you buy another. I'd expect they would resolve that for you, and perhaps then give you reassurance for another purchase. EPS has quite a good rep :-).

Have the same holster with lining for my Colt 44-40. Fits no problem. Leave the gun in there and use it. It will break in!

I have several from several makers. The EPS is my favorite (I've had Pythons, 1911, SAA & S & W K & N frames in them)

Here are a couple Threepersons style holsters from Henry Cassady, Jr. He sells on ebay with the username "h.c. leather". These are every bit as good as any similar El Paso offering. The one with the Vaquero is lined, the other isn't.

I have several El Paso holsters and a River Belt or whatever they call that item, and none have given any problems. But don't think the lining is pigskin. Looks more like suede.
