Default Dawson Snag

I just put a Dawson fiber optic on my 686, when I pull it out of my JW O'Rourke pancake holster, there is a tuft of cowhide on the sight. Maybe after a while it will wear it's own groove and stop, but maybe it wont either. Has anyone ever broken the sharp corners on the top of these sights with a fine file and touched them up with cold blue or something else?

Since there's been so much feedback on my problem I thought I'd post that I rounded the offending edges with a fine jewelers file, touched it up with some gun blue on the end of a tiny foam brush, washed and rinsed, then oiled it up. I'll be curious to see how the finish holds up, but the initial problem has been solved.
