Default What happened at El Paso Saddlery?

I`ve dealt with El Paso Saddlery for years. I`ve always received great service and I think their products are some of the best gun leather made.

My last holster received didn`t come close to fitting the pistol it was ordered for- no problem since things like this happen-

Emailed El Paso and was responded to within 24 hours and sent a prepaid mailing label.
Holster went back and was returned to me after re blocking but still doesn`t fit.

Email again and was responded to within 24 hours and was sent another prepaid label. Holster went back again, was returned to me after another re blocking and still won`t fit.

Emailed again and was again responded to with 24 hours and given choice of return for refund or return for exchange "we`ll make a completely new holster that we promise will fit", with the offer of El Paso sending another prepaid mailing label for the return. I elected to send the holster back and have it exchanged. I emailed them my reply and since then, El Paso has gone completely dark.

No mailing label sent, no reply to emails, no one answers their phone or returns calls after leaving a message and a promised return phone call through their Facebook page messaging hasn`t come.

It`s my understanding that you must have a return authorization from them for them to accept a holster for work or replacement.

I`m not trying to flame El Paso but I am becoming a little concerned since I still have another order pending that should be complete in a couple of months. To go from very good communication to no communication seems a bit odd.

Surely the company hasn`t suddenly folded up overnight-

Has anyone here dealt with them recently and/or know of any problems they`re having?

Don't know what may have happened here, but I had a similar experience with their customer service a while back, and after years of being a loyal customer am no longer. Hope you get your problem resolved, must be frustrating.

Several months ago, I had a bit of a problem with EPS.

I don't play e-mail tag with anyone, so I called them. Their quality control guy told me they had had some staffing changes and some reductions in staff due to retirement. He apologized profusely for the mistake, and it was corrected quickly.

In spite of their volume business, EPS isn't that big of a company, they aren't some big-box manufacturing company with facilities all over the place.

So my suggestion is to call them if you have a problem...don't waste your time with e-mails and playing the shipping-back-and-forth game.

I plead not guilty to that "Delete" business. I don't know what happened.
I merely posted #4 above.

I see what happened now. The OP apparently deleted at exactly the
same time that I posted #4 above, and I got blamed for the delete.
