Default Speed Master v. Combat Master

What's the difference between Galco's Speed Master and Combat Master holsters?

Thanks,

Lou

That us a good question. I can't see a difference. I have the
Combat Master, but not the Speed Master. Maybe Galco asked
themselves your question. I see a couple of sites say the Speed
Master has been discontinued.

Same here, except I have a Speed Master for the K/L frame and Combat Master for the 1911 - not good for true comparison. Further, Iam not sure what the difference is between Galco's CM102(L frame) and CM112(K frame). My 2.5" 686 fits perfectly in the CM112, which is for my 2.5" 66.

The reason I asked is that I just snagged a new Galco SM134b on eBay for $39. I know the CM134b is for the 2.5" N frame and hoping it works will fit my 2.5" 627. From what little I can gather, the SM may ride a little higher than the CM.

Appears to be a name change only and the Combat Master being the current name. These things can happen as a result of trademark disputes, for example, wherein a name change is easier and cheaper than either paying a license fee or defending in a another's State court.

Thanks for everyone's input. I was just informed via text that originally the speed Master was for revolvers and Combat Master for autos. Now they use combat Master for both.
