Default holster selection for ruger sr1911

for those of you that carry your 45 sr1911 . am looking at various holster options from many holster sources . have looked at , but ruled out , tucker , alessi , gb holster , galco , jason winnie , lobo & a few other others . their options & or price got them dumped .
i want a nicely finished & well made holster double mag pouch combo , but a pretty much plain outfit without the higher price tag.
have narrowed it down to mitch rosen express line , desantis , or kirkpatrick leather . leaning toward ms express line , with kirpatrick 2nd place .
questions : any experience with the last 3 of my choice ? is there any quality difference between mitch rosen express line & their standard more pricey first line products ? is the same weight leather used in the express line ?
there are SO many leather choices it is unreal ! would go with the ruger store's offerings that has the mitch rosen express that is stamped with the ruger emblem ( neat ! ) but they do not offer the double mag pouch for some reason , only the single .
thanks

I've handled quite a few of Rosen's Express line holsters and they're comparable to his more expensive lines. The leather is the same weight but the Express line holsters aren't boned with as much detail as the more expensive models, that's the only difference.

I used a Kirkpatrick Model TSS holster for a Glock 19 in Afghanistan. It's an Askins style rig. It held up well.

Default useful info was appreciated

couldn't go wrong on either one .
after debating in my mind a bit , i ordered a mitch rosen high rise upper limit express holster , & a double duce double mag pouch . also am getting their leather lightening dressing for the inside of the holster , thought i'd give it a try.
i believe the expected delivery is around 2 weeks . the only negative is that they took my e-mail a few days ago to confirm the order and have not done so . will give them a call 1st part of week to be sure all is in the works .

As between the three you mention, I would go with Desantis.

I ordered a holster for my MP 9 from Black Hills Leather (Rudy in Laredo Texas). He makes holsters for 1911s and holsters with double mag pouches. Mine was $ 179.95 plus S/H and delivery in 3-4 weeks or less.

FYI and FWIW, I have a Galco Miami Classic 'Lite' for my Ruger 1911 LW Commander (and it fits my other 1911s). This came with a single mag pouch. For $50 I had a local leather maker make and fix a two mag pouch to it. Total cost around $140. I really like this Galco, though I noted you ruled them out.

I also own gun leather from GG, TT and both are good quality too. Good luck.

I like the Aussie expression, "how long's a piece of string?". A hundred choices, all dependent on both your level of sophistication and your maker's! Buying by brand is not ideal; buying by features is ideal.
