That Idaho holster is really cool! Please post some pictures of it with your 2" M&P.

Will do. Probably be later this week before it gets here.
I have one for a 4" K that is one of my favorites.

That new Lawrence, in the middle of my #1 post above, has

the lacing on page 1, post #15. It shows better detail of
the lacing than this one.

I love looking at some of these old threads. As my old Dad might say,
they are: "the kittins wihiskers".
I wanted to pull this one up again so those who missed it the first time
around can enjoy it.
Here is a good example of lacing. The holster is merely marked MEXICO.
(Just west of the belt loop)
Nothing else. It is carved and laced and has the red suede leather lining.
The Justin belt kinda matches the holster. The gun is my model 10 with
2" barrel. The stocks are Grasshorns. It's just a wee bit loose. It would
probably fit better with a snub model 19 or a Python.

All I have that I can think of is this homemade rig I made 25 years or so ago that I post all the time.

I was intrigued by this one and learned from Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs that John Faust came to Pasadena CA from TX in 1940, also worked for Bohlin, and d. 1960. The stamping pattern itself is somewhat unusual but was used by others; this one is by King Ranch and unable to date it accurately neverthless King Ranch fired up its saddlery very late 19th century and this is the model that the Brill-style of 1907 and later was derived from; by shrinking the pocket around the revolver, cutting away all the leather showing past the profile of the narrowed pocket, and folding the holster's fender as close to the mouth of the pocket as possible to make the revolver carry very high and angled rear sight forward. It then became the precursor to the Threepersons that simply pared away the cuff and fender, leaving behind a stitched loop.

I actually cut this one up and turned it into a Brill to prove the point :-).

P.S. the original post is No. 44; for some reason the image from it does not appear above.

Thank you Red for bringing this almost a year old thread back up to life.
I enjoyed the re-run this morning. Some beautiful carving, lacing, etc.
on here.
Also gives me a chance to post one that I didn't have back then.
Thank you Red for putting me on to this gorgeous carved and laced
Eubanks Mexican Loop. It is shown with Colt's SAA 7.5" Cavalry
Model replica.

Sadly, only the left handed .22 holster is mine. A gift from Red. Thank you.

As requested, here is an old thread with some gorgeous examples of
lacing. I don't recall seeing this one, so I will post to pull the thread
back up. It is a Heiser model 728.

Terry, for the bottom rig, there's a bell ringing somewhere, with someone shouting, "WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER "!!!

Barranti-Myres Barton Special for a Ruger Lightweight Officers 9mm with a neutral cant that I gifted to a friend for Christmas. Sad part was, it fit me perfectly and I had a really hard time giving it up.

Moo Moo I have a few holsters made by Price-Western too, and they are
all top notch quality-wise. Mine are nowhere near as pretty as yours.
They are just plain, so don't qualify for this thread.
