Texas Ranger Tol Dawson was also a well known holster maker in the Del Rio area of Texas. Does anyone have any of his leather and have the ability to post images. His leather was reported to be excellent and I believe he was making this leather in 1970's to 1980s'.
I Googled Images for Tol Dawson and came up with several photos.
Including some of his holsters. There is also an article about Tol and
his leather work by Sheriff Jim Wilson.
A couple of Tol Dawson holsters. These belonged to Bart Skelton. The bottom one was built for Joaquin Jackson and is dated 1980 on the back, and now resides in my collection. The top holster if I recall correctly is dated 1992, and was the inspiration for my Border Ranger model, which was named by Joaquin.
