Help with Vintage holster
I recently got this holster... looks like one of my S&W 4" M&P's should fit fine and make a great Tex-Mex BBQ rig!
It appears to be fashioned in a Mexican piteadao style using bullion thread. My guess is there might be a bit of gold (?) mixed with the copper thread. The only real tarnish or verdigris is on the bullion trim. In the photo it looks like black leather, but is actually bullion with very dark verdigris patina.
Can anyone help date the holster? It has a 1910-1920 style but the stitching or whipping around the outside looks like plastic... maybe 1950's??
Thanks!

I can't answer your questions but that certainly is a
beautiful piece of work. How did you ever come across
something like that?

It's purty!
Looks like Mexican made for the tourists.
Have seen a bunch like that down on both sides of the border.
But most of them not that purty!
