Default The needle in the haystack (x2)

Well, if finding a Military Model of 1950 44 wasn't hard enough, trying to find a period correct (and very stylish) holster certainly was.

This is a 5" barrel with King reflector sight up front and King adjustable sight on the rear. The holster is a S.D. Myres 'Texas Jockstrap' that is floral tooled and cut correctly for the adjustable sights. Thanks to a kind forum member for allowing me to be the caretaker of this wonderful piece of cow hide.

Awesome, those Texas Jockstrap style holsters really " float my boat"!!! I really like the chocolate brown color of it too. I have a couple of that style too.

If you recall, it came with some hideous non-diamond magnas that had been ground down to allow a speed loader to clear. Those had to go away right then and there, so these were a short term solution while I find out what load it likes and get the POA=POI. I have run about 50 240gr LSWC with a mild dose of SR4756 behind them.

It is likely to wear a nice set of Sambar stag in the very near future

Too bad you couldn't find a nice kydex holster for that revolver. I kid! That's a beautiful piece of leather work. Definitely my thing, love to have one that nice for any of my six shooters.
