EXOTIC HIDE HOLSTERS
I like to look at hosters made with exotic hides. If you have
some, how about showing and telling? I'll start the ball
rolling with my modest collection. Left to Right:
DelFatti's ASP DD IWB with shark trim, on a Crescent shark belt,
with my S&W Model 642 .38 Spl.
KD's Eagle Defender, crocodile trim, Simply Rugged belt,
Kershaw Junkyard II knife, and Ruger's SP101 .357 with
Crimson Trace.
Black Hills shark high ride, on Crescent shark belt, with
Charter's Undercover ,38 Spl.
Black Hills lizard trim, high ride, with S&W Model 60 .357
with hammer spur removed for DAO.
Black Hills lizard, Culver lizard belt, Camillus knife, and
Colt's Agent with Craig Spegel's extended boots.

I don't know if pigskin can be considered exotic? I looked a long time
for this Lawrence 34V Special Agent pigskin. It's one of my favorites:

You may only have one, but you have one of the best.

Here are a couple that I forgot:
Left photo, left holster: Mirage by Uncle Mike. I guess the name is
because it looks kinda like leather but it's not. I got it and an UM belt
to match a long time ago, but the belt has mysteriously shrunk over
the years so I can't wear it any more.
2nd photo, left holster: A no-name I bought and rehabilitated recently.
Very nice fit, very light, small, and quick. I like it
SORRY, I meant to post these two in the 1911 thread but was asleep at
the switch..

Sorry, no real exotic leather. I'm too cheap to try , and mess up, the cubic dollar leather. But, a couple I've made with fake exotic leather.

That's some good looking exotic hide work right there O&S.
I especially like that brown gator rig.

Being a fan of "Swamp People", I found Hill Country Leather 512-550-0593 on the internet. When you realize what goes into catching alligators, one can appreciate having a fine alligator holster.

Thanks Model39. Hill Country has been around a long time.
They used to be Cathey. Don't know why they changed names.
They have made a lot of military holsters, and they made the
Dirty Harry Shoulder holster for a while, probably with some
license agreement with Ardolino.

Thank you,
