Surprised
I was really surprised that this holster sold for so much. It is missing the skirt and snaps, and is in poor shape. Any idea why it sold for so much? Looks like 2 guys wanted it! BTW, if someone here bought it, I take it back

From the looks of the attached photos, the holster looks like it started life as a belt holster!

That's a beautiful piece of leather work. Someone will clean & polish
it up real nice and wear it proudly to a barbeque. Dimensions appear
to me to be for a Colt's Single Action Army with 4.75" or maybe 5.50"
barrel.

Check out the link to bracebeemer's outfit and you will see how a Model 753 should look!

I contacted the seller a few days ago and he told me it was missing the flap (skirt), like I thought. Maybe Blackrock Leather 'n Rich can bring it back to life! It does work miracles for me sometimes. If someone here bought it, hopefully they will post pics!

Minus the fender I'd say the holster is virtually worthless. I'd surmise the bidders didn't know this essential part was missing (thought it was a belt holster). Even the original Heiser snaps, which are missing, are part of a Heiser's value: there are two types and both have Heiser's name imprinted on the caps.

Something smells about it- only two bidders ratcheting each other up.
Not bad for 1/2 a holster...
