Default Model 686 vs 686 SSR Pro series

I recently acquired a Model 686 SSR and now want to buy an OWB holster for it. I have not been able to find any holster manufacturers who make them specifically for the 686 SSR. I am curious if holsters designed for a standard 686 are too loose for the 686 SSR, especially given its slab side barrel and slanted/tapered under lug. Does anyone have a good OWB holster recomendation for the 686 SSR?...I have not made a decision on Kydex or leather, but leaning towards Kydex.

I have a SSR also and ordered a holster through the Sand Burr Gun Ranch. His holsters are made here in Indiana. They are pig skin lined. I will keep you up to date when I pick it up and post some pictures. When he ordered it he put down 686. We will see if the SSR will fit. I also though about Kydex but chose leather because of the bead blast finish on the SSR would be like a file in the "plastic holster".

I recently purchased a Safariland STX 586 holster for my SSR. Part leather- part polymer. Suede lined. Fit is perfect and tension adjustable. I use it as a paddle holster but it comes with the belt attachment as well. I think it's a good looking holster. Couldn't be happier.

I like the combination of leather and polymer with its suede-lined design

Default SSR Pro Series Holster

Here is some pics of the holster: made by HORSESHOE HILL LEATHER in Claypool Indiana. Sold @ Sand Burr Gun Ranch. It also has a steel inner liner so the holster will not lose its shape and holds the revolver solid. It is also very comfortable!!!!
