Clip-on holsters like this one used to sell for five bucks, new. That's because they're just two pieces of diecut leather with a clip inserted into one piece that is stitched to the other, then the seam stitched. No glue, no finishing, the least expensive leather the maker can get that's suited to the job.
In the case of an SW, I reckon you'd never get your money back, so it's not a good investment in that sense.
It's also not "period correct" :-). One could get the original, which was made by Wolfram for Colt in the '60s, or a Blazer which was Wolfram's own brand. Ideal, if your budget could stand it, would be a Gaylord or Seventrees, both being from the 60s. Otherwise IWB wasn't a big thing in those days as it is now.
