Default Quick take: Remora Gen II IWB

There's not a lot to say that Bruce at Pocket Guns and Gear and I haven't said here about these Remoras - I've got literally dozens of the various kinds of Remora holsters Alan Bogdan and company make lying around the house and I use them a ton for all manner of guns. I have been wanting to try their Gen II holster (with a different grabby outer fabric and a softer plush lining) for some time, and the arrival of a SIG-Sauer P320 Subcompact gave me a reason to order a new one (even though I already had several that carried the gun just fine).

It feels good: softer on the skin yet "grabbier" than the original knobby grabby material (if you look closely at these pictures, you'll note the Gen I material is still used for the trim in this new holster). It appears similarly moisture proof, and the soft plush interior seems thinner (I'm comparing it directly to a Gen I holster that I had been using for this gun) than the old style.

Nice! I will have to wear it a bit to see how it holds up, but on first try-on, the Gen II Remora seems a notable improvement.

Oh, and the thing was like $17.50 with the sale they've got going. I paid more than that for a glass of wine the other day.

I'll have to buy a GenII. My old Remora could use a rest. I've been using it as a grab 'n go instead of my IWB holster for 4 o'clock carry when I'll be spending most of my time driving and want to switch from strong hand to a cross draw carry while the seatbelt is fastened. The Remora is handy and reliable.
