Phil sent me a copy of his extensive work " Renowned Gun Leather " as a prize for guessing a maker. To say I'm impressed is an understatement.
I have Phil's permission to include the photo of his cover below, he copywrited his work which was a smart move. The spiral bound book includes numerous color photographs and is packed with solid and useable information-topics include history, renowned makers, terminology, holster values and how to tell what a holster fits.
One of the things I enjoyed most when reading Elmer Keith's books as a youngster was how much his love of what he wrote about shined through. Phil's book shows the same enthusiasm for his subject-he knows what he's writing about and he cares about it.
I'm still working my way through it, it's 65 pages long. I don't know what his plans are for making this available, I hope he has such plans, but I'm awfully glad I have a copy. Thank you, Phil, for writing this and for letting me enjoy it.

Some have requested I sign their manual. I plan to inscribe all of the
manuals to whoever orders. So it might be better to tell me if you do
not want my inscription. In the case of orders for more than one manual
let me know who you want them inscripted to.

Thank you for the compliment Red. I'm not as good a man as I once
was, but I'm as good once as I ever was. We still have things around
the house that my wife bought with green stamps years ago.

Corrections, changes, and additions have been made. Printer

When I get a nice holster, all I do is take it apart; which is what happened to my Sessums (I learned he used no glue at all, not even for the lining much less the welt).

I have a younger brother who is a PhD in Chemistry, and an
older sister. I used to always say my brother got the brains,
my sister got the looks, and I guess I got the luck.

One time a lady asked me where I was when the brains were
passed out. I said I guess I was over getting all the looks.
She said it must be Hell to get beat out of both.

But I really do believe I am furtunate and I count my blessings
every day. All of you friends here on the forum are one of
those blessings.

Today is August 21st. Total Eclipse Day. Hotel rooms in the area have
gone up ten fold. Lots of lookers flocking in to the area. It is also my
wife's Birthday. (I better go shopping)
It is also the day the final edited and improved manual goes to the
printer. Right on schedule.
