Found this holster in a bargain bin at the gun shop.

Very nice, I'm pretty sure I would have brought it home.

ARTCRAFT LEA. GDS. St. Joseph, MO is the makers mark. I have found no info about them.

Thanks Tim. That's an old-timer. Maybe turnerriver will be along and
identify it. He probably has a catalog.

Interesting 1911 holster
That looks like it was from the same era as this one
that I used in the GUESS THE MAKER contest. John
won. This one was by Brauer Brothers.

Nice!
That right there is why I always look through boxes of holsters and grips. You just never know!

I have a plain version of it, stitched as if it was meant to have a spring inside -- but no spring! I expect Kansasgunner's has a spring? Mine has no maker's mark, either. The only others I've seen: a pair owned by Lone Wolf Gonzaulles. The 'welt' is stitched quite unusually to enable the holster to be quite slim where the knuckle of the second finger encounters it when grasping the pistol.

Red,
As usual you are correct, my holster has a spring. A quite stout one at that. A 1911 has been in this holster for a long time. Impressions from the slide and controls are well defined.
Thanks for the pm also, thats the same info I found.
