FLORAL CROSSDRAW FOR 1911
Back in June Cocked N Locked posted a photo of his 1911 in a
Hunter Combat Action holster, floral carved crossdraw. I have
kinda lusted for one like ever since. I found out Viking and
Bucheimer-Clark also made similar models. Others probably
did too. Well I finally located and latched on to this Viking 55M.

Phil, will that holster also fit a revolver? Looks to me like a 4" K frame might work better than a 1911.

Yes Mark it will fit up to a 5" barrel revolver. I tried my Model
29 with 4" barrel and it fits just a well, maybe better, than the
1911 Colt.

Hey Mark,
I know you did not ask me this question, that said, my 4" 19 is loose in it and I need to run the tension screw down tight for the 5" 1911.

Thanks Gary. No such thing as too much info. Well, on this topic anyway. I'll file all that kind of info away for future reference since I have full size 1911's, and 4" K and N frames.

I've carried 5" 1911's, Colt Commanders, two different model 15 S&W's, and years ago a Walther P-38 in this holster.
Never carried a 3.5" or 4" N-frame in it however.
I'll try a 3.5" pre-27 and see how it fits...should work.

That 1911 looks purdy aplenty...as does the holster!

All 1911s are purty. Some are just a little purtyer than
others. That's driving the spell checker nuts.

Here's the same Hunter 55M holster pictured in post #8.
In pic below it is stuffed with a N-frame...3 1/2" pre-27 .357 from 1954.
I guess this combo would work but a flat 1911 works better in it for me.
