Lucky Break: El Paso Saddlery
I thought I'd share a lucky break I stumbled across today.
If you're not familiar with El Paso Saddlery Company, they make a lot of very fine leather products. If you are familiar with them, you know what I'm talking about.
In particular their #88 Street Combat Holster has been a proven design favorite for decades, and a personal favorite of mine.
Now, because I have a decades old holster bin I'm always experimenting for cross fits. I'm not talking about forcing or twisting anything. I'm talking about that fits-like-a-glove lucky break. It rarely happens, but it did today.
I was handling my #88, originally made for my Walther P99, and my Ruger American Compact 45ACP happened to be at hand. I went for it, and.....fits-like-a-glove.
My lucky break aside, if you enjoy fine leather products, check out El Paso Saddlery.

Yup, when they're not moulded well to a specific pistol, that'll happen. Now try it with one of these:

Some guns are more alike than anyone realizes.
I have an assortment of El Paso Saddlery holsters; all my cowboy action holsters came from them, too. They make great products.
