Default Bianchi 9R series shoulder holsters

I recently acquired a Bianchi 9R shoulder holster, one of those worn "upside down." Its harness' elastic is stretched to the point of barely being useful. Were the holster in production, I would order a replacement [harness??], but it isn't.

Since I'm left-handed and forced to acquire a harness or just its elastic, please identify replacement harnesses that will restore the 9R to functionality. It would be desirable if a harness intended for lefties can be obtained for the holster. If there is no harness for lefties that can be used, I will continue to use the leather of its harness turned over. This is less than ideal.

A nylon strap works as well or better than the elastic. A shoe repair, or seat cover guy should have the leather to cut a mirror image of the harness . They are great holsters.

Naphtali: I'm a fan of the Bianchi 9R holster as well - I have a damaged left shoulder, and this holster is the only one I have found that I can actually do a left handed draw from if needed.

One of the Forum members, I think it is Red Nichols - but I'm not absolutely positive about this - used to work for Bianchi, and was instrumental in the creation and design of the 9R holster. Perhaps he can help you?

Good luck,

Dave

Yep, just use nylon strapping - you can get it from Hobby Lobby or a sewing shop. The elastic is not necessary at all.

If you can't find anyone to do it, send it to me and I'll do it for a minimal charge.

Question:
Does nylon have elastic stretch also ?
Without the harness having "Stretch" it would be impossible for the user with bad shoulders to put on the harness.

I use the 1" elastic strapping in the sewing dept at Walmart in brown. Get the snap kit and a couple of vest buckles and you are in bidness! I'm a lefty and have rebuilt several this way. Vest buckles gives you infinite just right adjustments while snaps secure the rig. Good news is cost less than $10.
