Here is a pic of a duty holster I just acquired with a 1930 Colt Officers Model Target.

Best,

McMonies had a US contract for the M1916 holster during WW I. They are pretty rare I believe. I'm forwarding this to fellow forum member Ordnanceguy, if I'm inaccurate he'll correct me.
Regards,

Charles:

William H. McMonies Co. was a saddlery and leather goods company based in Portland, Oregon. During WW1 it produced Model 1916 holsters for the M1911 pistol as well as rifle scabbards, slings and similar equipment. Post-war it continued to manufacture leather goods including civilian holsters.

The photo below shows the mark used by McMonies on the M1916 holsters of WW1. (Photo credit to my pal Artu.)

The image below shows the mark used by McMonies on a between the wars civilian holster for a 6 inch .38 revolver.

Thanks for the great info. As soon as the gun gets here, I'll post more pics including the maker's mark. It is coming from seller in Oregon.
It may have lived its' entire life out there.

Best,
Charles
