While I do not own a Shield .45, I do have a Shield 9mm and carry it OWB in a Wrights Leather Works "Predator". No need for a strap, the fit and retention on these holsters are spot on. The workmanship is first class.

In leather, I have an OWB Adams Leather Works set up for RH cross draw.
I also have a OWB, Dara Kydex one for strong side.

Just received one from Azula Holsters. Very nice OWB for the money.

I mostly use a Sticky Holster for IWB and pocket carry. I like it's versatility and comfort.

Yep.. Sticky holster mostly, and a Concealment Express kydex IWB the rest of the time.

For my Shield 45, I have a kydex paddle from Panther Concealment and a leather snap loop from High Noon and would recommend both. Both are open top and good quality. I tend to wear the kydex most often
