Default Suggestions for a shoulder rig specific to 5" revolvers?

Howdy guys,

Was wondering if anyone knows of a good, high quality shoulder rig, preferably leather, that can accommodate a 5" N frame like the .38/44s as well as the Colt OP in 5", or alternatively could hold a K frame 5" like the Mod. 10 as well as the OP.

The few used examples I've found have been completely trashed out or more collectible than functional. Does anyone know of a contemporary maker offering such a rig, or anything similar?

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

You might consider a Bianchi 2100 or any of the many holsters emulating the one used by Harry Callahan.

If the holster's securing the revolver is, at least in part, by way of a spring, you automatically have flexibility for what revolvers and frame sizes the holster accepts. That's why I mentioned the 2100 first. Although long out of production, they come in several sizes and were designed - I believe - by our resident holster maven, Red Nichols.

FYI: I own and use an embarrassingly large number of long out of production spring-retain Bianchi holsters. The only shoulder holster among them - a 9R2 - has little in common with what you seek. Nevertheless, Bianchi's ultra-flexible holsters are where to focus your search.

Hope something in this mishmash helps.

I bought a shoulder rig from Craft Holsters that is vertical, tilts when you draw and can accommodate my L frames and N frames of any barrel length. The holster itself has an opening for the barrel so I can carry my N frames snubbies (and L frames) as well as a 6"Python and 6.5" 629. Very good craftsmanship too.

Try Ken Null Holsters. His are unconventional but very practical. I carry a 4 inch n frame with no problems.

Stoner Holsters has a great rig. Check out their website and be sure to check out the video on their shoulder rig.
