For your specifications I would consider a Bianchi #5 Black Widow.
Shown below with a Taurus Model 94.

Holsters
I have a drawer full of J frame holsters; but my favorite is this old Hunter I found. Inexpensive, and I can wear it strong side or cross draw since it is a "neutral" cant.

Do you want to use this holster for CCW or is it for field use? Some holsters like a pancake work for both.

I bought one a few years back and have been happy since. fit and quality are very good.
The ability to take it on and off without taking off my belt is a big enabler.

You didn't say if your J frame has the exposed hammer or
the concealed hammer. It makes a big difference for the
holster you choose. If you have the concealed hammer, you
will need a holster with the strap around the trigger guard
like the one shown by OLDSTER above. The Bianchi that I
suggested works only if there is an exposed hammer.

The BEST I know of..... ANYWHERE at ANY PRICE!
Kramer HORSEHIDE Leather Holster, Belt and Ammo Pouch. Thin, stiff, incredible retention but yet allows quick draw, and is as good today as it was new 12+ years ago. This Rig (including the belt too) never seems to wear out and it gets worn about 3 times a week for about 6 - 8 hors at a time. Once a year I'll polish it with Kiwi Shoe Polish - that's it. I'd buy another identical one for another gun if needed in a heart beat!
The BEST part is that it does NOT use any snaps, straps, screws, springs, velcro, or any other retention aids. It is simply made right and is the best design I've ever used, seen or purchased.
